Hunting is always one
to one and you will have a friendly experienced guide who
knows his area intimately and will advise you on the quality and
age of the Roebucks prior to taking any shots.
The Average shot
taken is around 80 yards but of course can be closer or further.
The choice of taking the shot at any distance is left to yourselves
if given the all clear by your guide that it is safe to do so.
Guests usually arrive on a Sunday,
hunt five days and will leave on a Saturday. How many will you shoot?
well that depends on how selective you are, but it is expected that
each hunter will take 3 or 4 Roebucks. The heads are prepared to
a high standard and are ready for you to take home at the end of
the week.
British Firearm
Permits are arranged by us for those wishing to bring their
own rifles (minimum .243). For those coming from an EEC country
we will need your European Firearm Permit in advance (Home Office
regulations). For all countries outside the EEC a faxed copy of
your hunting license will suffice (Your will need to provide these
at least 6 weeks in advance of your visit). Estate rifles are available
for those not bringing their own.
UK Airport pickup
is available if required or you can arrange a hire car at all UK
Airports at very competitive rates, this will allow you to see more
of our beautiful countryside between your hunting trips.
Accommodation
is with myself at Chantry House, where my wife Janet and I will
do our best to make your stay a happy one.
Location We
are situated 2 hours from Heathrow Airport and 45 minutes from Bristol
airport.
